Learn and Grow in Our Preschool Dance Program
Our preschool classes use a creative approach to share the joy of dance with your little ones. Curriculum emphasizes classroom etiquette, gross motor skills, basic dance technique, and fun! At A-List Dance & Acrobatics we develop your child’s creativity and bring out their self-expression through music and movement. Our faculty are lively, experienced teachers with an early childhood emphasis in every aspect of class. Become a part of our dance family and see how we inspire students with a commitment to age-appropriate dance education.

What to Expect on the First Day
We are thrilled to welcome your little one to our Fairytale Dance program! While they may enter the classroom cautiously at first, we’ve found that children make remarkable progress by the end of the year. We can’t wait to see all the beautiful little dancers in action!

As a parent, you likely have a vision of how the first day will unfold. I’m writing to provide some insights on what to expect, knowing that every child is different and may react uniquely to the experience.

It’s common for a brand-new 2-year-old to cling to mom when entering the studio, as the environment is entirely unfamiliar to them. We recommend arriving early on the first day to help your child get comfortable with their new teacher and surroundings.

Separation anxiety is a typical challenge on the first day. You can help ease this by explaining to your child ahead of time that mommy will be watching from the lobby during class and won’t be leaving.

Our Fairytale Dance class is designed as a teacher/child experience. For this reason, we ask that all parents remain in the lobby during class rather than in the dance room. We will work together to help your child transition into the classroom happily without mom or dad. This process often takes time and varies for each child.

Some children are eager to join the class right away and don’t look back, while others may need more time to adjust. As parents, we may not know how our child will react until we try. It’s important to remember that it might take a few weeks for them to warm up to the idea, even if they already love to dance.

Our primary goal on the first day is to have every child in the class without their parents and without tears. If we achieve that, we’ve succeeded. Don’t be concerned if your child simply stands in their spot, watching the teacher jump up and down. They’re just taking in their surroundings, and they’ll start dancing when they’re ready.

We hope your experience at our studio is a positive one. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Warm regards,
Miss Alyssa
